Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions players ask most often. If what you need is not here, the How It Works guide goes into more depth, and our policy pages cover the formal rules.
Accounts and getting started
- Who can play on GamyDay?
- GamyDay is for individuals aged 18 and over. You are responsible for checking that taking part is permitted where you live before you join a competition. Each player should hold and use only one account, in their own name.
- How do I create an account?
- Sign up with your email address and mobile number. We send a one-time code to your email, and entering it confirms the account. Use details that are accurate and current — they are how we identify your account if you ever need support.
- I did not receive my verification code. What should I do?
- Codes are valid for a limited period, so first check whether the one you have has expired and request a fresh one. Check your spam or promotions folder as well. If nothing arrives, contact support with the email address you signed up with.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. Instant games and daily events run in your browser. Scheduled esports tournaments are played in the relevant game itself, so for those you will need that game installed and an account in it.
Balance, entry fees and charges
- How do I add a balance?
- Top-ups are made over UPI from the wallet screen. Choose an amount, complete the payment in your UPI app, and the balance is added once the payment is confirmed. If a payment leaves your bank but does not appear on your account, contact support with the transaction reference.
- Do I have to pay to play?
- No. Free events run alongside the paid competitions and are a good way to learn a format before entering anything with a fee. Paid entries are always shown with their cost before you confirm.
- When is an entry fee charged?
- At the moment you join. For a scheduled tournament that is when you reserve your slot, which is what holds the place for you; for an instant game it is when you enter the lobby.
- Are there taxes or charges on transactions?
- Applicable taxes and charges are described in our Tax & Fee Policy. That page is the authoritative source, as the amounts involved can change.
Playing and results
- What is the difference between the types of competition?
- Scheduled tournaments run at a fixed time with a limited number of slots and are played in an external game. Instant games are short browser matches you can start at any time. Daily events run across a whole day, with your attempts counting towards a leaderboard that is settled when the day closes. How It Works explains each in detail.
- When do I receive the room details for a scheduled tournament?
- Room details are released close to the start time, once you have submitted the in-game name you will be playing under. Be ready before the scheduled start — matches begin on time whether or not every player has joined.
- My connection dropped during a match. What happens?
- The entry has already been spent, and depending on the game and how far the match had progressed the result may stand. If you believe a match was affected by a fault on our side rather than your connection, raise it through Raise Request with the details.
- How is my leaderboard position decided?
- By the total you have earned across your time on the platform. That figure only increases — redeeming GD Points in the store does not lower your position.
GD Points and redemption
- What are GD Points?
- GD Points are the rewards credited to your account when you finish in a rewarded position. They are held on your account and redeemed through the GamyDay Store.
- Can I transfer my winnings to my bank account?
- No. Winnings are credited to your account as GD Points, and GD Points are redeemed in the GamyDay Store for the items and vouchers listed there. They are not transferred to a bank account or UPI ID and are not withdrawable as cash. If that changes we will update this page and the relevant policies.
- How do I redeem GD Points?
- Open the GD Store, choose something within your balance and submit a redemption request. The points are deducted when the request is made, and the request is then processed for fulfilment. You can follow its progress from your account.
- I won a daily event. How do I claim it?
- Rewards from daily events become claimable from your account once that day's standings have been settled. You have 14 days from settlement to claim a reward; after that it lapses and can no longer be claimed.
Fair play, safety and support
- What counts as cheating?
- Using cheat software, exploiting faults in a game, arranging results with other players, or playing through more than one account. Any of these can lead to disqualification, suspension of the account and forfeiture of the balance held on it. If you find a fault, report it rather than use it.
- Are these games of chance?
- No. The competitions offered are games of skill, where the outcome is determined by player ability, practice and decision-making rather than by chance.
- How do I play responsibly?
- Decide in advance what you are willing to spend, treat entry fees as money spent on entertainment rather than an investment, and stop when playing stops being enjoyable. Our responsible gaming guidance covers this in more detail.
- How do I contact support?
- Use Raise Request for anything relating to a specific match, booking or transaction, or the details on our Contact page for general enquiries. Including your registered email address helps us find your account quickly.
