How GamyDay Works

This page walks through everything from creating an account to redeeming what you have earned. If you have never used a skill-gaming platform before, reading it end to end should take about five minutes and will save you guessing later.

Getting started

    Create your account

    Sign up with your email address and mobile number. We send a one-time code to the address you provide, and entering that code confirms the account is yours. Accounts are for individuals aged 18 and over, and each player should hold and use only their own account.

    Add a balance

    Paid tournaments, lobbies and events charge an entry fee, so you will need a balance before joining one. Top-ups are made over UPI from the wallet screen: choose an amount, complete the payment in your UPI app, and the balance appears on your account once the payment is confirmed.

    You do not have to add money to start. Free events run alongside the paid ones, and they are a sensible way to learn a game's format before entering anything with a fee.

    Pick how you want to play

    GamyDay offers scheduled esports tournaments, instant browser games and daily leaderboard events. They suit different amounts of time and different levels of commitment — the next section explains each in detail.

Scheduled esports tournaments

These are organised matches for titles played outside the browser, run at a fixed date and time with a limited number of places.

  • Browse the tournament list and choose a time slot. Each slot shows its entry fee, prize pool and how many places remain.
  • Reserve your place. Any entry fee is charged from your balance at the moment you book, which is what holds the slot for you.
  • Provide the in-game name you will play under. This is how the organiser identifies you in the match, so it must match your account in that game exactly.
  • Room details are released close to the start time. Join the room promptly — matches begin at the scheduled time whether or not everyone has arrived.
  • Results are entered after the organiser has reviewed the match, and rewards are credited to the players who placed.

If a slot is cancelled before it runs, entry fees for that slot are returned to the players who had booked it. The Cancellation Policy sets out the detail.

Instant browser games

Instant games are short competitive matches that run in your browser. There is no scheduled start, so you can play whenever you have a few minutes free.

  • Choose a game from the catalogue, then choose an entry tier. Tiers differ in what they cost to enter and what a win returns.
  • Joining a tier charges the entry from your balance and places you into a match. The game then opens and you play it out in the browser.
  • The result is settled as soon as the match ends. Where a match is rewarded, the amount is credited to your account shortly afterwards.
  • Keep the tab open until the match finishes. Closing it mid-match may end your participation with the entry already spent.

Daily leaderboard events

Daily events run across a whole day rather than a single match. Instead of one result deciding everything, your attempts accumulate towards a leaderboard that is settled once the day closes.

  • Entry is either through a GD Pass subscription, which unlocks the tier for its duration, or through a pass bought for a specific event.
  • Play the event during the day. Depending on the event, your ranking is based on your best result or on your results added together, and some events limit how many attempts you may make.
  • The leaderboard updates while people are playing, so you can see roughly where you stand before the day ends.
  • Standings are settled after the event closes and rewards are shared among the highest-placed players, with more going to those who finished higher. Rewards are claimed from your account and should be claimed reasonably promptly, as unclaimed rewards do not stay available indefinitely.

GD Points, the store and the leaderboard

Rewards are credited as GD Points. GD Points are redeemed through the GamyDay Store, where you exchange them for the items and vouchers listed there. Browse the store, choose something within your balance and submit a redemption request; the points are deducted when the request is made and the request is then processed for fulfilment.

Separately, the total you have earned over your time on the platform determines where you sit on the global leaderboard. That lifetime figure only ever goes up — redeeming points in the store does not reduce your leaderboard standing.

Fair play

Competitions are decided on skill, which only holds if everyone plays by the same rules. Using cheats, exploiting faults in a game, arranging results with other players, or playing through more than one account are all prohibited and may lead to disqualification, suspension of an account, and forfeiture of any balance associated with it. If you find a fault in a game, report it through Raise Request rather than using it.
